Dry van activity is strongest out of Southern California and parts of the Midwest, with Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan keeping volumes steady. By contrast, the Northeast and Mountain regions remain softer, where outbound demand is much lighter.

Reefer freight continues to build in the Upper Midwest and California’s Central Valley, supported by seasonal harvests. Meanwhile, capacity is loosening in the Southeast, with Georgia, Florida, and the Carolinas showing weaker volumes.

Flatbed markets are holding firm in the South and central Midwest, particularly Kentucky, Tennessee, and Illinois. Northeastern and Mountain markets, however, continue to lag, with demand trailing available capacity.
